family business

crecí en un hogar cristiano, con un pastor como padre. por partes lo disfrutaba y por ratos era difícil, perdón aún lo es. pero es increíble ver todas las bendiciones que trae pertenecer al ministerio de Dios y ser parte del "negocio familiar". el tiempo ha pasado, y ahora es Dios quien me da oportunidad de usar mis talentos para bendecir a otros y mostrarles siquiera un resplandor del amor de Dios, porque mi fortaleza humana nunca será suficiente para demostrar tan grande amor :)

uno de los privilegios que tengo es ayudar a personas que han decidido mudarse de país, de cultura, de idioma y de todo aquello que les es familiar para poder decirle sí a Dios y estar a su servicio. mi misión es ofrecerles una canal de comunicación a través del cual ellos puedan mostrar quienes son y otros puedan orar por ellos y por su trabajo. me refiero a fotos, y unas lindas para que puedan hacer unas tarjetas de oración que tengan su rostro y nombre para que nadie se olvide de ellos y puedan tenerlos presente siempre. 

cada vez que recibo una llamada o un correo que dice: Erika! tenemos un misionero que necesita fotos!, mi corazón se llena de alegría porque es como una pequeña oportunidad que Dios me da para aportar un poquitito al gran trabajo que estas personas realizan, y eso es un GRAN pero GRAN privilegio. y enero trajo consigo muchos momentos de alegría, y aquí están. si los conoces, perfecto ya tienes como recordarles. sino los conoces, igual ora por ellos, tal vez algún día los conocerás :)

i grew up in a Christian home, with a pastor as a dad. sometimes i enjoyed it and some others were difficult, i mean it still is. but it is amazing to see all the blessings that come along with being part of the ministry of God and also being part of his "family business". time has flown by and now it is God who gives me the opportunity of using my gifts to bless others and show them a small glimpse of the Lord's love towards them, because in my own strength i will never be capable enough of showing them fully the love of God. 

one of the privileges i have is to help people that have chosen to move from one country to another, from one culture to another, and from everything that was familiar to them to say yes to God and be at His service. my mission is to offer them a channel of communication through which they can show who they are and others can pray for their work. i'm talking about pictures, and pretty ones that can be used for their prayer cards, so that others can always remember to pray for them. 

every time i receive a call or an email saying: Erika! we have a missionary that needs pics!, my heart jumps of joy because is like God is giving me a small chance of supporting the great work these people do, and that is a GREAT but GREAT privilege!. and january brought along many of these moments of joy, and here i share them with you. if you know them, awesome it will help you to pray for them. if not you can start doing it and who knows, maybe one day you will meet them :)
