Lima es la segunda ciudad más grande construida en una desierto, después de El Cairo. Caminas por sus calles y ves la presencia de algunos esporádicos árboles, y no te imaginas que en realidad estas en un desierto. 

Nunca llueve, bueno "llueve" pero aquellos que vienen de otras ciudades se ríen de nuestra "lluvia" jaja, no los culpo. Y tal vez por eso es que cuando veo lluvia abundante, ésta captura toda mi atención. ¿Cómo es, no? Cuando no tenemos algo, lo valoramos las veces que sí lo podemos tener..

aquí les dejo algunas fotos del desierto y de la lluvia de Huánuco.

Colores, pinceles, brochas, textura .. hay tantas cosas que puedes encontrar en la maleta de un artista. Pero esta artista es muy especial porque su lienzo no es un objeto sino el rostro. 
Barbara, o Babi como le dicen todos, utiliza el maquillaje con mucha delicadeza y arte para poder resaltar la belleza natural de las mujeres.

Su manera de ser la transmite al momento de maquillar y hace que toda la experiencia sea divertida. Babi ahora también es parte de mi equipo y para todas las bellas mujeres que quieran resaltar aún más su belleza, pueden contar con este gran talento.

- ¡Hola reina, dime qué bajo, qué necesitas que yo estoy lista"

Así es Maja, siempre amable, dulce y delicada para ayudarte. Todavía recuerdo los días del colegio en los que se pintaba las uñas mientras resolvíamos un problema de mate o mientras leíamos en la clase de lenguaje, siempre única y elegante. 

Los años han pasado, y ese estilo la ha llevado a ser la gran artista que es hoy. Con esfuerzo y mucha creatividad, Maja ahora trabaja con uno de los diseñadores de moda más reconocidos del país. 

Su estilo delicado y elegante, fueron lo que escogí para empezar esta búsqueda fotográfica de personas que convirtieron su creatividad en un trabajo, o más bien en un estilo de vida. Ella es Maria Alejandra Nuñez, y recuerden su nombre porque pronto lo escucharán siempre. 


    //  "Hey sweetheart, tell me what you need, what should i bring downstairs, im ready". That's Maja, always sweet, kind and delicate to help you. I still remember the high school days when she would do her nails during a math or literature class, always unique and elegant.

They years have gone by and that style is what makes her the great artist she is now. With much effort and creativity, Maja now works with one of the best fashion designers of the country.

Her delicate and elegant style, is what i chose to begin this photographic research of people whom have transform their creativity into their job, or maybe i should say, their lifestyle. She is Maria Alejandra Nuñez, and remember that name because soon enough you will hear it often.

- ¿Arábica?, suena a algo medio árabe ¿no?.
- sí ma, pero no tiene nada que ver. ya vas a ver.

había ido ya un par de veces, pero investigando por la red, me di cuenta que tenían un nuevo local y con éste, un nuevo concepto y ambiente para disfrutar de una conversación amena.
a inicios del año, me había trazado una meta: conocer más cafés y descubrir quien tiene al más rico.
fue así que un día, decidí ir a Arábica y comenzar la travesía con mi mamá. pero a la vez, comenzar una serie de fotos que represente una de las cosas que más me gusta; tomar una taza de café.

ese día, empecé The Coffee Talks. mi mami, la protagonista. el café, un acompañante. el ambiente, preciso.

pausa* deben ir, es buenísimo el café*

todo era tan bonito. yo no dejaba de observar por todos lados como si fuese mi sobrino de cuatro años, en medio de Happyland, todo era bonito. el olor a café, la textura de la leche espumante, las personas alrededor. es más, creo que uno de los Bizetti estaba sentado ahí mismo hablando de negocios. quien sabe. sólo sé, que había empezado una de mis resoluciones de año nuevo con el pie derecho.

no quería que se acabe esa tarde. mi mami me miraba mientras tomaba su taza con las dos manos, y acercaba su café para seguir bebiéndolo.

- este mocha es el de verdad, ¡tiene chocolate de verdad!

sonreí y solo pude decirle a mi mami: es que este café en sí es un buen café.
no es que sea catadora de café, que por cierto debe existir pero con otro nombre, pero el tener una máquina expreso en casa con la que consigues un café fresco todas las mañanas te lleva a otros niveles de exigencia al momento de tomar café.

el aroma, no hay nada como el aroma del café.

- Arábica?, doesn't it sound a little arab?
- yes mom, but it has nothing to do with it. you will see.

i had been there a couple of times but researching on the internet i realized that they have opened a new shop and with it, a new concept was born and a new atmosphere to enjoy a nice conversation.
in the beginning of the year, i made a resolution: to find new coffee shops and discover which has the tastiest coffee.
and that is why i chose to go to Arábica and start this journey with my mom. and at the same time, a series of photos that could represent one of the things i like the most, to drink a cup of coffee.

that day i started with The Coffee Talks. my mommy, the main character. the coffee, the partner. the atmosphere, just the right one.

pause* you have to visit this place, coffee is extremely good*

everything was so pretty. i couldn't stop looking everywhere like if i was my 4 year old nephew at an arcade, everything was pretty. the smell of coffee, the texture of the steaming milk, the people around. in fact, i think one of the persons was the owner. but who knows. i just know that i was starting one of my new year goals started off on the right foot.

i didn't want that afternoon to be over. my mom was looking at me gently while taking her cup of coffee with her two hands, as she was bringing it closer to take a sip.

- this is a real mocha, it has real chocolate!

i smiled and told her: the coffee itself is just really good coffee.
i don't think of myself as a coffee taster, but having an expresso machine at home that allows me to make fresh coffee every time i desire, takes your coffee requirements to a new other level.

the aroma, there is nothing like the aroma of coffee.

2. Pon un poco de escarcha amarilla
Put some yellow glitter on it

3. Mientras los demás materiales descansan
While the other materials rest

 4. Si el tubo de escarcha no sirve, córtalo y usa un palito para sacarla.
If the glitter tube doesn't work, cut it and use a stick to remove it.

 5. Si te cansas, distraete un rato con algo más.
If you get tired, just distract yourself with something else.
 6. Si pensaste que ya habías usado suficiente escarcha, te equivocas debes ponerle más.
If you thought you had used enough glitter, well you are wrong you need to put some more.

7. Repetir la cortadita del tubo.
Cut another glitter tube.

8. Usa colores.
Use color pencils.

9. Nunca puedes ponerle suficiente escarcha, así que ponle más.
There is no thing such as enough glitter so put some more.

10. Y un poco más.
And some more.

11. Descansa un poco más.
Rest some more.

12. Ahora es momento de usar la tempera.
Now is time to paint.

13. Pero solo los bordes.
But just the edges.


14. Usa varios colores
Use different colors


15. Espera a que seque una de las hojas y luego le pegas un palito en la parte de atrás.
Wait for one of the papers to dry a little and then with some tape, paste a stick on the back.

16.  Finalmente le pegas la otra encima.
To finish you put the other paper on top.

17. Y listo!
And ready!

It is a paper fan!
